foundation formula.

The Foundation Formula is a holistic methodology focusing on the factors that impact our health, happiness, and fulfillment. We call it a formula because it is a complex combination of important components in our lives. We all agree happiness and fulfillment mean something different for everyone. But we also understand that we as humans have many of the same physical, emotional, and psychological needs.

The formula examines the foundation of your life and creates a scoring for different categories. Follow the steps below for an assessment.

three categories.

Mind

These are all the mental aspects of our life. Mind is listed first, because it is often the most overlooked and the least invested in. These are all the things we “think”. While they all have physical impacts, this category is all cognitive and psychological.

Body

These are all the physical aspects of our being. This section is related to the health and wellbeing of our bodies. These concepts might be easier to understand as we’ve been exposed to them often.

Mastery

There are many complexities for the modern human to live a fulfilled life. Aspects of this includes inspiration, growth and impact. This section assesses the pieces that support things like our career and our passions.

final scores.

For your two top scores, take 5 minutes to appreciate the highest sections of your foundation formula. Gratitude is extremely powerful for our mindset. According to Yale University and the Science of Well-Being course, it is one of the most significant happiness indicators. Take the time to feel the positive experiences of those categories.

For your two bottom scores, think about why these scored the lowest. Do you think you were fair in your assessment? Are these the most important things you would like to improve? Finally, if you're willing to take on a new challenge, pick one or two sections that you would like to improve for the next 60 days.
